Hard working, dedicated, motivated, and ready to help your program accomplish and surpass its goals. You will know if you want to employ me before we meet. If you'd like to have a meeting, I am always interested in developing further opportunities for myself and my network. I have done some light appraisal work, as well, but I don't just work for anyone, anymore.
I have worked in barns of several disciplines, including some experience in Hunt Seat facilities, but mainly western. My passion is liberty training, but I am highly interested in developing my English riding. Can stand/ship wrap.
24 years old, 20 years of riding. Comfortable in English and Western tack, but with a much wider variety of knowledge in Western disciplines. I will ride gaited, but I don't love trainers that refuse to work with gaited horses in front of a client. Can lunge, ground drive, desensitize, ride to improve flexion, comfortable bringing young horses along as well as on more advanced and seasoned mounts. Used a Pasoa system for Roger Sietzmeyer and Michelle Zimmer (2018), but did not work in that barn very long. Worked in numerous barns at various levels from small private facilities, to lesson barns, to larger scale rehabilitation and performance operations. Comfortable handling young stock but not much experience with the foaling process. Have handled studs but not on a regular basis. Have not yet groomed for the show ring (English), but absolutely ready to learn. Happy to talk more about my experience with you. Love Dr. Robin Wharton out of Kentucky, USA.
Helping horses gain confidence, be aware of different parts of their bodies in a way that supports soundness and agility, and daily care at a performance level. I am an artist, a musician, and a loud mouth, but I understand tact and etiquette. I have backed out of a few working student interviews this year since quitting my last barn work, but I have a high standard of excellence to maintain if I want to continue improving. Highly recommend Michelle Zimmer as a trainer- horses, or humans.
Some experience with basic English equitation, but predominantly western. Comfortable in arenas as well as out in the woods, fields, mountains, etc. on any horse. Would love to learn more about training ranch horses, as some of the nicest barrel horses I've ever sat on were working blood rather than running blood. I can do anything you're willing to teach. Also highly interested in learning more about the Eventing world, specialized nutrition, facility management and show grooming.
Competed as a youth in IBRA, ACBRA, NBHA (ETC.) barrel races, placed in all divisions from local to national levels. Have been working a variety of jobs including some equine related (barn work, daily care, exercising, trail riding, working student) and some outside industry for the past 6 years, but would love the opportunity to return to competitive form. Currently investing a lot of time in training my mutt.
