I realize that if accommodations are available for both me and my horse that an hourly wage or salary will most likely not be offered, but rather a stipend for some basic living expenses! I can provide references.
I'm responsible and work hard...I'm also strong and trust worthy and not afraid to ask questions. I love working with and around horses and I have a thirst for more knowledge.
Duties of Current Occupation
Growing and promoting the use of native plants...which also includes maintaining demonstration gardens, landscape design and consultation, outreach programming and helping to organize events at the facility where I am employed.
Equine Work Experience
I've been riding and boarding at a dressage barn in Tennessee for 5 1/2 years. I assist trainer with her duties when her assistant is away. I also help with barn chores in exchange for reduced board fee.
I also house/horse/critter sit when owners go away on overnight or extended trips.
Knowledge and experience in landscape design and maintenance especially relating to native plants and attracting wildlife/pollinators
Type of Ride Work
I've shown through first level and am training at second level. I'm concentrating more on learning than on competing. A limited budget can have a negative impact on entering the competition arena!
