Duties of Current Occupation
Currently I am a student at Clemson University with an internship in 4-H at the state office. However, I am a certified riding instructor and have experience in riding, training, and breeding.
Equine Work Experience
This past summer I interned for three months in South Dakota where I started three and four year olds. I also handled studs, broodmares, yearlings, and foals. I aided in live cover and stallion collection. I was able to participate in artificial insemination with fresh, cooled, and frozen as well as ultrasounding broodmares. I assisted in foal watch and foaling out as well as the care of the newborn foals. I also assisted with foaling at an Arabian breeding barn as well as Clemson University. I have had multiple barn work jobs with feeding, first aid, basic care, stall cleaning, and schooling horses. I've taught beginner to intermediate hunt seat and western riders for about six years now.
Type of Ride Work
I have mostly ridden and shown hunter/jumpers and equitation horses. I have started and trained dressage horses as well as some western disciplines.
