I’ve done everything from breaking untouched 10 year old horses for pleasure to training winners of state medal finals and ribbon winners at USEF pony finals and Indoors. A mature and reliable individual with transferrable skills and a varied work experience, seeks a temp role to complete Ride Safe & general riding. Opportunity to ride out/develop in-hand work welomed. Home counties preferred.
Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
From the end of August to the first week of May, I am a full-time student at Clemson University. I'll be graduating in May of 2019.
I have ridden horses under various programs since I was 8 years old. I managed a four stall barn while I was in high school and handled responsibilities such as riding, feeding, grooming, turn out, and minor incidents requiring first-aid response. Afterwards, I was a working student with Trayce and Eric Dierks where I handled activities such as cleaning stalls, daily chores to keep the barn unblemished, hacking client's horses, and being in a daily training regimen. Subsequently, I became a student of Jamie Grant Rowland at Clemson University's Equine Center, where I currently keep my horse and also partake in the activities of the University's Equestrian Team. I have extensive experience being a farmhand at the Equine Center where I handled duties such as turn out, distributing medications, cleaning stalls, and feeding, along with other daily chores to keep the barn tidy. I have experience ranging from starting and riding young/green horses to intensive school-horse lesson programs.
My specialties lie in the jumper aspect of riding, though I tend to integrate dressage to build a foundation on the flat. I am also very good with people and am always looking for an opportunity to learn.
I am mostly experienced with the show-jumping discipline. However, I do have basic dressage experience, as its the foundation to many other disciplines.
Due to being a full-time student, I have not had much of an opportunity to showcase my horse. At recent shows, we have been competing in the 1-1.10 meter training classes.
