From the end of August to the first week of May, I am a full-time student at Clemson University. I'll be graduating in May of 2019.
I have ridden horses under various programs since I was 8 years old. I managed a four stall barn while I was in high school and handled responsibilities such as riding, feeding, grooming, turn out, and minor incidents requiring first-aid response. For a year afterwards, I was a working student in Tryon with Trayce Doubek-Dierks and Eric Dierks where I handled activities such as cleaning stalls, daily chores to keep the barn unblemished, hacking client's horses, and being in a daily training regimen. Subsequently, I became a student of Jamie Grant Rowland at Clemson University's Equine Center, where I currently keep my horse and partake in the activities of the University's Equestrian Team, which I am on. I have extensive experience being a farmhand at the Equine Center where I handled duties such as turn out, distributing medications, cleaning stalls, and feeding, along with other daily chores to keep the barn tidy.
My specialties lie in the jumper aspect of riding, though I tend to integrate dressage to build a foundation on the flat. I am also very good with people and am always looking for an opportunity to learn.
I am mostly experienced with the show-jumping discipline. However, I do have level two dressage test schooling experience.
Due to being a full-time student, I have not had much of an opportunity to showcase my horse. At recent shows, we have been competing in the 1-1.10 meter training classes.
