Equine Work Experience
13 years at Wilma Tate's Equestrian School, Moreno Valley, California as a youth, primarily working with young horses and competing in open shows. One year at Cal Poly Pomona, completed Farrier Science and introduced to British Riding School methods. I have completed the USDF L Program for judging dressage, CHA certification, Saddle Fit and Flocking, multiple clinics and symposiums, biomechanics education, hippotherapy, produced shows, scribed, groomed and have hauled locally and across country.
I have worked for various tack and feed stores, served as President of our local dressage club.
I now have 4 horses, and am comfortable with first aid, bandaging, IM injections and I am a meticulous groom.
I have excellent customer service skills and am a life long equestrian. I am known for my organizational skills, trouble shooting and I acquire and retain information readily. I am comfortable with public speaking and announcing.
Type of Ride Work
I worked at Garrod Farms in Saratoga, California where I was a staff instructor in Basic English and Western riding. Concurrently, I kept a clientele with horses in training for dressage, pony club, western and pleasure. I earned my CHA Master's Instructor Certification, produced horse shows, led trail rides and was introduced to vaulting. I taught full time for 3 more years in California before moving to Oregon.
I competed in dressage from Training to Third Level, earning Half Arabian of the Year from DASC in 2008, USDF Bronze Medal andArabian Sport Horse Reserve Champion 3rd Level. I have competed in low level, open show jumping and beginner novice 3 day event.
