Equine Work Experience
I started with horses at seven, with English hunter jumper lessons and learned to groom and tack a horse, walk, trot, canter, gallop, and jump. At age eleven, I bought an Arabian with my riding instructor. We boarded at a co-op barn, where each member fed, vetted, and did barn chores twice a week for five year. After two year, we replaced our Arabian mare with a gelded thoroughbred. I was introduced to Parelli Natural Horsemanship with my thoroughbred. I took and passed a level 1 clinic. Natural horsemanship is now part of my horse management philisophy.
At this point, I was introduced to Parelli Natural Horsemanship. This taught me how to read the subtle cues a horse gives using his body language. I have just completed an 8 week YMCA camp as barn staff/intructor. I learned how to keep track and in control of 10+ horses with kids on their back.
