Teaching horseback riding lessons to students of all ages, exercise riding, feeding, grooming, turnout, stall cleaning, administering of medications, communication with vets, farriers, and clients, general barn maintenance.
Equine Work Experience
I have been responsible for teaching riding lessons as well as schooling and managing the horses while on the winter and summer show circuits with Boulder Brook Equestrian Center. I was also assistant director of the summer camp at Boulder Brook from 2012 to 2015 and have been teaching beginner and intermediate level riders of all ages from 2010 to the present.
Most recently I have been responsible for barn maintenance including but not limited to stall mucking, organizing feed and turnout, medical care, and course design, as well as teaching riding lessons and exercise riding borders’ horses at Biltmore Equestrian Center in Asheville, NC. I am capable of communicating with and carrying out instructions for both vets and farriers, administering medications including IM and IV injections, and bandaging.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden in clinics with George Morris, Karen O’Conner, Dom Schramm, Kip Rosenthal, and Judy Richter, and have trained in both Hunter/Jumpers and Dressage with Darren Chiacchia, Nona Garson, Patty Stovel, Carol Molony, Jimmy Toon, and Paddy Downing-Nyegard, as well as the head trainers at Boulder Brook Equestrian Center in Westchester, New York. I am currently responsible for riding and training boarder horses, keeping them fit and sound at Biltmore Equestrian Center.
My competition experience and achievements include USEF Pony Final and National Junior Hunter Finals, as well as several years attending Zone 2 Finals and Marshal & Sterling Hunter and Equitation Finals. I have had show experience at both HITS Saugerties and Ocala, Vermont Summer Festival, Garden State Horse Show, and Old Salem Farm Horse Shows, as well as experience with local show circuits. I have also showed in several levels of the Jumpers since completing my junior career.
