I have a strong desire to just be involved in the equestrian world again and to apprentice.
A lifetime of riding and a continued desire to learn more. I understand that a lot of the barns around here are more eventing and jumping based and I welcome the opportunity to add another discipline to my skill set.
Duties of Current Occupation
I currently work at Kate Spade as a Marketing Coordinator.
Equine Work Experience
I've been riding since I was about 6 in Oregon and Washington.
I've shown on the open circuit, b circuit, 4-H, FFA, High School Equestrian Team and competed as a youth on the Arabian A circuit showing western and hunter under saddle. My area of strength is more so in western pleasure/equitation and I have a strong working knowledge and years of experience in hunter under saddle and have a desire to get more involved in dressage. I am definitley more of an all around rider and am looking for a way to get back heavily involved in the riding world.
I've put 30 days of ground work on young horses, and have a long history of working with green horses.
Coming from a 4-H background where I was a junior leader in my 4-H group I have a love of working with younger children and helping them learn more about their horses, the industry, general knowledge and riding.
English - hunter under saddle (flat), pleasure, equitation, schooling level dressage, light saddle seat
Western - pleasure, equitation, light reining experience, light gaming
Ground Work - showmanship, ground training (under 3 year olds)
I have a strong desire to further develop my dressage skills.
Type of Ride Work
English, Western, ground work.
I've introduced many predominantly western horses to hunter under saddle work.
Predominantly I've shown Arabians and Half Arabians throughout the open, b circuit, 4-H and Arabian A circuit. As a youth I'd frequently win all around showman awards in the western and english disciplines with my Arabians. The one year I did get to show on the Arabian circuit I was top 5 showmanship, and champion in Western Equitation.
