Showed competitively English & Western throughout childhood. Broke and trained first young horse during that time, I was approx 14 years old. Exercise rider for Thoroughbred racehorses for 17 years, including breaking, training and conditioning. Pony Rider throughout years on the racetrack, duties included accompanying horse & rider for morning workouts and starting gate work, as well as warming them up in the afternoon for the races.
Competition involved riding and showing Quarter Horses for approximately 8 years throughout my childhood. Disciplines included Hunt Seat, Western Horsemanship, Bareback Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Halter, Showmanship, Wreining, Barrel Racing.
My years as an exercise rider were not in a competitive form, I was not a jockey. However, it was my full time job and it included galloping, breezing, gate work and breaking and conditioning young horses.
