I am currently a student in graduate school working towards my masters in social work. I am looking for a summer job between May and August.
I have been horseback riding for a little over 10 years. I primarily ride English style. I have worked at various barns and camp programs. In each of these programs I have taught young kids ranging in age from 5-12 about equine safety, equine care, and how to horseback ride. I have been in charge of a program that consisted of about 12 staff members and 8 horses within a girl scout program. I have also taken people on trail rides. I am able to catch a horse in an open field, groom, bridle and tack in a timely manor. I am able to walk, trot, and canter and jump a fence course of about 2'6. I also have experience feeding, cleaning stalls, exercising horses, and various other jobs.
I have almost exclusively ridden English. I am able to walk, trot, and canter. I am also able to jump a full course with a height of about 2'6.
I was previously on my universities equestrian team for several years where I competed with the IHSA. I have also competed in local barn competitions.
