Currently I work in a corporate office handling budgetary and change management decisions in an IT environment. I am looking to begin exploring how I can work in the equine industry with my current skill set.
Equine Work Experience
I have ridden Western and English for over fifteen years. I have not ridden seriously, on an every day basis, for close to a decade. I worked for years at a horse-back riding camp where we were responsible for all basic equine care - grooming and bathing, turn-out, feeding, trailer training, etc. I am comfortable around horses of all sizes and personalities. I also volunteered for a program called Horseability in which learning and physically challenged children were taught to ride and take care of horses on a weekly basis. Ultimately, what I don't know in experience, I make up in effort. I take direction well and feel passionately that I would be able to quickly pick up skill sets.
After nearly ten years in a corporate environment, I am passionate about entering the only industry that has brought me true fulfillment. I am happy to work any position. I am highly qualified to work on administrative and managerial tasks associated with businesses. I have excellent people (and horse!) skills and would be a valuable addition to any team.
Type of Ride Work
The majority of my riding experience is English. I'm skilled at walk/trot/canter/jumping. I have trail experience as well as being proficient in Western riding. I am beginning to learn how to lunge.
