My track record includes: foal watch at equine vet clinic, young horse starting, trailer load training, instructing in public lesson programs and summer camp, barn management, buying, training, showing and selling American bred warmblood horses, conditioning of reining, driving, fox hunting, dressage and jumper horses, show grooming, pony ride operator, and shipping horses locally in the Northeast.
Between us we have many skills including, horse management at top international level, riding, schooling, lunging, safari guide and back up rider, HGV driving licenses, horse transportation, mechanics, general maintenance, gardening and housekeeping. We are a mature hardworking genuine couple with a good sense of humour and great people skills. Looking for a permanent position. Anywhere considered. I have lots of experience in a wide variety of skills needed in the show world in everything from schooling, lunging, tacking, grooming, clipping, wrapping, etc. I also have lots of experience with all basic aspects of horse care and everyday barn chores. Additionally, I am a very confident rider and I have no problem riding, schooling and showing any variety of green, naughty or inexperienced horses.
I have 8 years of experience of in Hunt Seat Equitation with an emphasis in Hunter and Equitation in particular. I have been showing competitively throughout New England for the past 5 years, and have been showing on the A/AA circuit for the past year or so. I have lots of experience in pretty much all aspects of advanced horse care such as grooming, tacking, wrapping, lunging, etc.
I am a hard-working, eager to learn individual and I pride myself in being able to adapt to new or different work-enviornments. I am also positive, organized and and very-friendly! I am also a very composed person and I rarely get flustered in chaotic or hectic situations. Additionally, I love learning new things and I am very open-minded!
I have lots of experience in riding a vast group of all different kinds of horses, as I did not have my own horse for several years and rode anything and everything I was able to. I am very comfortable riding, schooling and showing everything from very green horses, all the way through schoolmasters and everything in between. I have experience riding in pretty much every aspect of basic Hunter/Equitation type flatwork and have schooled advanced coursework through 3'6.
I have been competitively showing across New England for the past 5 years and have been showing on the A/AA circuit for the past year. For serval years I rode a rather young, very green horse and showed locally, but in my last junior year I showed in the Children's Hunters, the Taylor Harris and the Massachusetts Horseman's Council and New England Horseman's Council Junior Medals. (3'-3'3). I attended the MHC Medal finals and am now on my school's IHSA team.
