I was accepted into the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover 2018 and plan on competing on one of my OTTBs.
I do not have a job right now because I am just getting done with high school and during school I have to focus a lot on my school work. I ride almost everyday if I can.
I have been riding since I was 12 years old and I started in the Western saddle. I watched my coach ride English and I was like thats what I want to do. So I made the switch to English after a year or two riding Western. I still was riding western here and there but my main focus was English and jumping in particular. Throughout my whole riding experience I have been riding with Kerry Kuhn and learning a lot of what I know about training a young horse from him. This past year I had the opportunity to start eventing on my Quarter Horse and my coach's Warmblood. The area of the United States that I am from has almost no events. The closest events are four hours, six hours, and 12 hours away so its hard to get into up here.
I have a competed at a few events at the beginner novice level, and plan on moving up as my horses and I improve. The placing I receive at the events I compete at were in the top ten every time and my horses continually improve on their abilities. In my beginning years as a rider I competed in the western disciplines and sometimes attending youth rodeos.
