Coming senior studying equestrian science at Stephens College. Area of focus is hunter/jumper. Seeking summer internship for 2018.
Stall cleaning, hay, grain, water, some tractor driving experience, and gator driving experience. Loading and unloading horses from a trailer. Pristine standing and shipping wraps, as well as stack wraps. Professors say I have picture-perfect polos. I can do hunter braids and jumper braids. I can pull, blade, and cut manes. I am comfortable with IM injections and capable with IV injections. I have wrapped plenty of hooves. I have experience holding for farriers and vets, using chains and twitches. I know basic wound care. I am extremely observant with the horses under my care. I am always on the look-out for signs of colic, choking, tying up, or infections. I will notice new bumps and cuts. I have a lot of lunging experience.
10 years riding experience, 7 years in Hunter/Jumpers. I have done a little bit of driving, and a little bit of western pleasure as well. I have worked with green horses, ridden horses over their first fences, and have helped train good horses to become even better lesson horses. I have also ridden horses coming back from injury. Videos of riding and jumping available on request! I have taught lessons and camps. Levels range from first lessons, up through intermediate level jumping.
I have worked shows, assisting the trainer, coaching kids in their classes, keeping everything organized and on time.
I myself have showed at local shows. I am hoping to go to my first "A" show in May. I am very eager and driven to add to my showing experience.
