I have owned my horse for 4 years, I would ride everyday, there was a trainer at the barn I boarded at and thats where I learned everything I know besides self teahing strategies. I went to conventions also to learn how to better train a horse that bucks (my previous horse was a bucker) that I found very helpful. I gave the younger kids at the barn I boarded at lessons on basic riding such as saddling a horse, getting on, how to walk then go into a trot and a loap. I would work with my horse and other horses in the round pen and by working them through their weaknesses whether it was bucking, being head shy, ect.
I love riding and I would say my specialty would be doing things such as pole bending and barrel racing. I also loved trail rides even though my horse was definitely not a trail horse, it was good to test her and work with her doing things she wasn't comfortable with.
