Duties of Current Occupation
I work at a quick-service restaurant as supervisor trainer and I am currently in my 3rd year of college.
Equine Work Experience
My equine experience is rather decent. I have volunteered on a non-profit ranch that owns 15 horses and works with kids between the ages of 5-17yrs old. I have interned at an equistrian center that has 27 horses, mostly working as a de-sensatizer trainer with the horses and help with chores around the ranch.
Many of the horses I have worked with are rescues. This being said, I am familiar with the kind, funny and gentle spirited horses; as well as the ones that are more skiddish, anxious or have a bit of attitude.
Well I am not the most experienced horse person, I do have the basics and somewhat beyond the basics down and I am willing to learn what you're willing to teach me on anything about horses!
I am a certified Emergency Medial Responder with the State of Minnesota. Which means I am CPR/First-Aid certified and trained in Basic Life Support (BLS).
I am over half fluent in Spanish.
I have photography/videography and editing skills.
I am skilled with training/teaching individuals and groups.
I have experience working with all ages. I have great people/communication skills!
I have a great hard-work ethic, integrity and a standard of excellence in all that I do!
Type of Ride Work
As a volunteer/intern I was taught and am proficient in the following:
Basic riding (walking, trotting, manuvering obstacles, steering, backing, etc.)
Lunging / round-penning.
Fluent in grooming / tacking (Western).
Ground work / obedience.
De-sensatizing to anything.
I have rode horses in arenas, on trails and out in the open.
Areas of Expertise
