I'm currently in my final year of college at Albion College. I teach at my family's children's summer camp all summer every year as well as work with client's young horses.
My family owns a children's summer camp and year round hunter jumper stables that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of. On top of a lot of time in the saddle, I always help out with chores, digging out stalls, organizing, feeding, and turning out, and have learned a lot of important horse skills. Every summer I work at the camp, teaching up to 3 riding lessons of all levels every day aswell as scheduling and running the barn. I am captain of my IHSA equestrian hunt seat team at Albion College this year, and was in charge of running our IHSA show this year. At home, we put on two IEA shows and one IHSA show that I both warm up ride for and help run. Due to being a part of my family's barn, I have seen the ins and the outs of the horse business.
I have worked with many young horses from the beginning on. I teach lessons as well as ride client's young horses.
I have shown up to 3'-3'3" on the local circuit, aswell as put a lot of mileage on young horses on and off property. Recently our circuit folded and since then I have been picking up some showing here and there. I have shown IHSA for the last two years.
