Equine Work Experience
From the ages of 7 to 16, I took English horseback riding lessons.
The summer after my freshman year of college, I worked at a summer camp in the barn. There were 40 horses and 5 wranglers. We were responsible for teaching lessons to children ages 7 to 17, leading trail rides, grooming and tacking up horses, and feeding.
For two seasons, I worked as a wrangler in Glacier National Parks. I led trail rides of up to a day's length. I was also responsible for tacking up,, grooming, and feeding the horses along with my fellow wranglers. I worked as an assistant manager. On these days I was responsible for booking rides and opening and closing up for the day. My second season, we had rotational cook days where I was responsible for cooking 3 meals a day for 8 people.
I also have horsesitting experience.
