I'd like to bring my own horses, but it isn't a deal breaker. I'm a hard worker and a fast learner. I hope I will be considered for some positions available.

Duties of Current Occupation
Medicating equines at an equine hospital (IV, IM, Sub-Q, PO, Eye-meds etc.), following charted directions/recording on charts, handling foals/weanlings/yearlings/stallions, placing catheters, running fluids, assisting with dystocias/foaling.
Equine Work Experience
-3 years at an equine hospital (as of August 2017- including a 6 month tech externship)
summer work at an equine trail ride/equine therapy camp
general farm care/equine management for about a year at a boarding stable. Cleaning 8-10 stalls daily, turnout, grooming, medicating, bandaging etc.
summer work riding green horses and putting trail hours on horses.
showing my own personal horse and showing horses for a stable i boarded at (saddlebreds) for a summer.
owning and caring for my own mare for 14 years and breeding her last year (I learned a GREAT deal about pregnant mares and the vaccination protocols/feeding requirements etc. from this)
working with and raising an orphan foal/bucket baby.
I've worked a good deal with dystocias and dummy foals. I have a good deal of patience for assisting foals that are having trouble learning to nurse. If I had to pick a specialty I would say foal care would probably near the top.
Type of Ride Work
Dressage lessons on warmbloods as a child.
Western lessons while growing up and showing my personal mare western pleasure/ranch horse and English pleasure (Hunter pleasure)
Riding and showing saddlebreds. Some experience driving a cart with saddlebreds.
Broke and trained my own mare that I got as a 2 year old.
Put riding hours and trail experience on green horses as summer work on and off.
I've competed with my own mare on and off for the last 14 years. We have shown in Western Pleasure, English Pleasure and Ranch Horse. I've never been super competitive with her, but this past spring we won the Reserve Grand Championship in Ranch Horse at the BAHA Spring Classic. I was really proud, since I've done all the training on her.
