I may or may not have a dog by the time an opportunity comes around but my horse is a must. He is an easy keeper inside or outside. Can not be turned out with mares because he was gelded at age 7 and he is now 9. Gets along with geldings!
While helping train many horses, I secured a foundation that will help me succeed with any trainer/horse. Independently taking care of them, I have successfully worked through many complications. I am competent and hardworking. I am a rider with an independent seat and the ability to learn quickly and efficiently. I am a team player and am always open minded. Personally I would love to work with people who want a barn family and want to work together as a team.

Duties of Current Occupation
I have experience being a working student. I currently ride 4-8 horses a day, clean 20 stalls 2 days a week, 11 stalls 1 day a week, feed/hay/water 6 days a week, and have 1 day off. I have resume/cover letter on file.
Equine Work Experience
From ages 5-8 years old I rode lesson horses at a local barn. I was taught basics of dressage, showjumping, and very little cross country. Growing and advancing rather quickly I spent the next few years hacking, training, and working for a trainer in Oklahoma. After working for this trainer I found my lovely Paint gelding and showed him all the way up to Low Children's. He was an incredibly hard horse, heavy in the mouth, bucked, kicked, but with the right training from Brandi Holloway and Amanda Eggleston we became a dream team. Ages 15-17 I was on the local IEA team with Dehlia Sutton, I competed on a long range of jumpers and hunters. My last 2 years of IEA I individually went to regionals for varsity open O/F and Flat. During the season I switched over to the assistant trainer of the IEA team Jackie Swhartz. With Jackie I took dressage and jumping lessons. Just recently I got a new show horse and have been competing him in Beginner Novice combined tests and .90m jumpers.
I am not afraid of a challenge, ever! From naughty w/t/c babies to well trained Warmbloods I have tried to ride them all. I am a go getter and love the horse world and try and learn something new everyday. I have shown equitation, hunter, and jumpers. Dabbled in eventing. But I want a life career in the horse industry and will work my butt off for the goals I set for myself.
Type of Ride Work
I have helped with green horses before but never started one. I am a confident rider and handler. I have done the jumpers for 4 years so I am content with a full seat but can switch to half seat. Never am I too heavy with my hands, I am a very "you listen to my seat" type rider.
I have shown in the midwest all my life. I have gone to at least 15+ rated shows in OKC/Tulsa, OK. I have always had to clean my own tack, bathe, groom, tack up, rinse off, un-tack, feed, muck-out my horses stall for any horse show I have gone too. I do not and will not accommodate/be okay with any type of drugging of any kind of animal that steps foot in the show ring. I have fallen off in the show ring, won in show ring, but no matter the horse I always try my best.
