I groom/bath the horses, take care of injuries if the vet is not required (scrapes and rubs, etc), give light warm ups with lunging; as well as light riding, and I also feed when it is needed. I also braid the horses when they are going to shows.
Equine Work Experience
I have ridden english style for about 10 years, although I do not own my own horse. I absolutely love being around horses, that is all I have ever wanted since I was a little girl. Throughout my years of riding, I have ridden many different horses, age and breed wise. I have started to work my way up to the 1st level dressage and I enjoy it so much and I would love to continue to step my way up to the next levels but unfortunatly where I am currently riding the horses there can only do so much. For jumping I have jumped up to 2 feet. I just want to have the opportunity to excel in the dressage world and to be able to work with amazing horses and great people as well.
Dressage is my stronger point when it comes to riding, I love jumping as well but I haven't had the one on one work that I need to make my jumping position solid. I prefer dressage because it shows the teamwork that it takes to make a test look flawless. I also braid, lunge, and groom. I am willing to learn and broaden my skills in the english riding.
Type of Ride Work
I ride English, I prefer dressage but I also enjoy some jumping as well.
I have competed in 20+ horse shows, I know that is a lower number but for not having a horse it's a good starting point. I throughly enjoy competing in shows and hope to build on my number.
