I started taking English riding lessons in 2006 and began volunteering at the barn in 2010. In 2013 I assumed responsibility of an abandoned horse for one year until an owner was secured. I was a student worker at Marquis Stables from October 2016 to March 2017 doing chores, working horses and taking lessons in dressage. When the owners travelled, I maintained day to day operations in their absence. I was then offered an opportunity at Roses to Reins in March 2017 which allowed me to be involved in training horses for shows and sales. I was also able to give lessons to beginner riders of all ages. I graduated from UW-River Falls with a bachelor degree in Animal Sciences with an emphasis in Equine Management. Some of the classes I took were Equine Reproduction, Equine Nutrition, and Farrier Training. I then moved back to Illinois and started as a barn manager in June, 2019 for a privately owned farm.
