I have worked in many equine related positions as stable hand, guest ranch wrangler, guide for guest rides and pack trips, and barn manager. I have worked in various retail jobs, customer service positions, and own The Lucky Shoe Photography.
I grew up in Maine at a boarding stable that specialized in English pleasure, dressage and jumping. Have spent many an hour behind a team of draft horses driving sleighs and wagons or working logs in the woods. Moved west 9 years ago and have since worked as a wrangler and guide for multiple guest ranches, as well as working for friends on their cattle ranches helping at roundups and brandings.
instruction of beginner to advanced intermediate english, western, bareback to all ages. business management, supervisor/training skills, maintenance and care of horse/ranch, phone/computer/organizational skills pertaining to business and the public, knowledge of proper equine nutrition and first aid, research skills, able to work alone and in a group, some horse training experience, multi discipline knowledge from twitching logs in the woods with a draft team to moving cows across the range.
Guest rides, round ups (of cows and horses), pack trips, drop camps, was on the dressage team for the University of Maine when I was in college. I have done some lower level showing, but primarily have done guest and working ranch work within the last ten years.
