Own dog- four year old neutered male American Field Pointer
Worked throughout high school at a private twelve horse full boarding facility in Chesterfield, Virginia. Responsibilities included:
Daily wellness checks on horses and treated any medical needs
Mixed feeds in prescribed amounts
Exercised and trained horses
Carried out general farm work (stall cleaning, restocked hay, drug sand arena)
Supervised other employees while owner was away
Worked nights and weekends. Cared for farm solely during owner's absence for vacation.
Duties of Current Occupation
Catalog physical and electronic files for 50+ programs; design promotional flyers and marketed programs/events; fundraise over $10,000 annually scholarship fund; established and fostered relationships with community partners
Equine Work Experience
15 years of equine handling and riding experience. 7 years of horse ownership. Trained my own rescue horse (4 year old, W/T green) to First level dressage and 2'6" fences. Experience in handling anxious/difficult horses on the ground through natural horsemanship techniques. Completed Virginia 4-H Horse program.
Comfortable providing first-aid care and administering shots.
Type of Ride Work
Originally trained in Hunter/Jumper. Further expanded to dressage and combined training. Experience in cross country. Able to hack out and enjoy competitive trail.
Grew up competing in local hunter/jumper shows. At 14, switched disciplines to focus on combined training. Excelled in dressage throughout high school- 2012 Virginia 4-H State Dressage Overall and Equitation Champion and Top 10 placing in 4-H Southeast Regional show.
Rode on Virginia Tech's Dressage Team and won multiple high point rider awards. Also held leadership positions within the team.
