Currently 15 horses are in my care - stalls, pasture maintenance, farrier/vaccines/vet/ deworming schedules. Broodmare programs, imprinting foals. Eng. & West. riding lessons, summer camps, training rides. Drive all types of tractors & horse trailers
Equine Work Experience
I co-own a successful boarding & all around training stable in Tulsa, Ok, currently for sale. Relocating near West Palm Beach, FL. in January 2017 to be near family. Grew up with good values & strong work ethic in the Midwest on my parents horse farm. My mother, an avid equestrian, started me at age 2 in english riding lessons. I started teaching lessons to my neighbors at age 11. Competed on my horses, also clients horses thru my twenties in Hunter/Jumpers & Dressage. I showed John Kornak's (Irish Fox Stables, Mo.) stallion 'Preclasico' in Jumpers. I showed saddlebreds as a Jr. rider for Sondra Moll (Emerald View Farms, Mo.). Taught lessons & ran summer camps for Michaela Kennedy (Kennedy Farms, Mo.). I was on a collegiate riding team & taught riding lessons for Houghton College (Houghton, NY). I trained with many top instructors including Olympic coaches Raul De Leon & Walter Zettl. I ran the horse unit for the Girl Scouts Camp Kateri, in Florida.
Equine first aid & aware of normal/not normal behaviors of horses. I understand all horse personalities/breeds. I'm a people person who can understand & get along with all personality types of people. Successfully able to rehab abused horses. Worked with special needs children & riders with fear. I safely teach many seats of riding with easy to understand lesson plans for all ages. My students have won many Championships. Can do anything on a horse farm & easily learn preferred methods of owner.
Type of Ride Work
Where I grew up there was several various horse farms. Saddlebreds, Arabians, Cutting, Walkers, Stock, Pleasure & Race horses. I knew all my neighbors with horse farms & took my opportunity to learn as many styles of riding. I am able to work with problem horses. I use a natural horsemanship approach in my training. I have trained in english, classical dressage, western dressage, 3-day eventing, western pleasure, trail, halter/showmanship, gaited horses, vaulting & gymkhana games/barrels.
I have competed in H/J, Dressage, Western Dressage, 3-Day eventing, Breds shows- Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Halter, Showmanship, Yearling Lunge Line, Trail Class, Speed Events, Vaulting & Gaited Horses - 3 Gaited, Country pleasure, West/Eng Pleasure. I have also judged several horse shows.
