Opening and closing riding facility Feeding horses and other animals on property proper amounts and supplements, medications if on them Checking for wounds or lameness, (standard first aid care for all animals) Cleaning stalls
I have been working along side horses for the past 7 years, during that time I have had the pleasure of working st two riding facilities. The first began in 2011 at Lum's Pond Equestrian Center, where I was able to work with clients and horses while instructing riding lessons both english and western. I was also a lead trail guide for groups ranging from 1-10 horses with riders. In 2015 I had the opportunity to work at another riding facility Sunny Meadows LLC, where I was able to learn more in depth about Equine Nutrition from the owner whom is a certified Equine Nutritionalist. At this facility I focus more on the care of the animals ranging from equine to ducks, and everything in between it seems. With all tempermants, off track thoroughbreds to quiet quarter horses, I have learned proper handling techniques and how to have a gentle approach to better understand equine body language and how to allow that to help me work with the horse other than against them.
Extreme organization skills Cleanliness of facility and animals Gentle approach to handling all kinds of temperaments
