I began working with horses when I was 7 or 8. It started with my cousins minihorses, which I showed, trained, and cared for. In 2014 I went to a private farm with 9 horses, 5 dogs and 100+ birds where I was in sole charge. I volunteered next at The Mustard Seed Farm, a non-profit therapeutic farm specializing in veterans and disabled persons. I started in 2016, and helped with all regular farm chores. One important skillI learned was the horses at this farm were a mixture of rescues, boarders, and therapy horses, which all required different grains and medication or supplements. I also worked with children through the summer programs with the mini horses. The most recent experience I had was at Wolf Den Friesians. I drove to their farm everyday to perform all chores I also assist the owners with any extra task they needed help with, such as repairing a broken fence panel.
