Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.

Beginner instructor at several barns on the East and West coasts. Imported my own young warmbloods at 16 and trained to level 5 jumpers before selling them.
Currently working two jobs. First job is 30+ hours a week managing a craft beer cooler at a local specialty wine shop. Certified Wine Consultant through WSET. Second job is part time beginner instructor at a small hunter-jumper farm in CT.
I bought my first horse at 14, who was a 2 year old OTTB. I kept her in my back yard and retrained her, along with another 5 year old OTTB to be relaxed, laid back lesson horses. At 16 I imported my first Dutch warmblood, who was 6, and campaigned him in the children's jumpers for a year until he sold at WEF. I continued to buy and campaign 6 year olds until I moved to California for school, where I worked for a woman at a hunter barn as a rider. I moved back to CT in 2011 and managed a small hunter barn in Westchester, NY, which included 8 privately owned horses as well as 8 lesson horses. I also taught lessons to the beginner riders as well as some advanced ones when necessary. Currently I am teaching beginner and advanced students of all ages to enjoy horses and riding at their own paces. Students have come home with blues at shows!
Jumping, working with problem horses, and ponies. My first horse was an 2 year old OTTB that I purchased at 14 and retrained in my back yard. I am small enough to ride a pony of almost any size and can school them appropriately.
I've been working with jumpers since 2007. Before that I was a competitive equitation and hunter rider. I have most of my experience with young horses - the oldest horse I've owned was 7 years old. I am also great with ponies as I am light enough to ride them with enough experience to really school a pony to a child's needs.
I have been showing competitively in the jumpers throughout the northeast and in Florida, and have helped prepare many horses for the jumper ring up to the high amateurs. Currently have been training ponies for children's hunters and equitation and jumpers in the lower divisions.
