Extensive experience working with customers. I also have taught young children to ride and given pony parties where I lead the horse with young children on their back. I also know how to tack up horses, see signs of lameness, lunge, and turn horses in and out.
Providing excellent customer service: greeting customers, assessing customers needs, giving customers directions. Smiling and being polite. But most importantly I am excellent at multitasking.
I have been riding both English and Western for the past five years on many horses. I have extensive miles on trails and a good amount of experience in the arena. I would consider myself an intermediate rider as I am starting to jump cross rails. I am looking to learn on the job either grooming or teaching beginner lessons. I am currently enrolled at UConn and I am majoring in animal science to become a horse trainer and learn barn management skills. I love working with children and teaching them how to properly tack up horses and groom them. I believe in training horses gently as I taught a spooky quarter horse how to become a great mount for more than experienced level riders. I taught him how to start cross rails, become gentle in the arena, and even ride in parades.
