I previously worked as the rescue director for a non-profit dog rescue. I managed fosters and volunteers, planned and ran adoption events, handled marketing and fundraising, planned and ran weekly adoption events, tagged and cared for dogs and more.
I have been riding since I was 8 years old. In my younger years I took lessosns on a weekly basis and attended camps every summer. I learned both western and english. When I turned 16 I started leasing a horse full time and showing him in the hunter/jumper world. During college when I could no longer afford to leae a horse I worked as an exercise rider and helped break and train some young horses and was also a trail guide one summer. I continued as an exercise rider after moving to San Diego and rode, exercised and trained 6-8 horses for a trainer. I bought my first horse about 4 years ago and now own 2 horses. I have been working for the past couple years at a stable on the side feeding and cleaning to help pay for my board. My husband and I were going to buy a preoperty where we could board horses, which fell through, but I studied up a ton on horse health and stable management to be able to successfully run a horse business.
I am very hardworking, professional and organized. I have been in management roles for the past five plus years. I have very strong communication skills and I am very passionate about animals and their welfare.
I can ride both english and western, although my main focus has been english for the past 10 years or so. I have been training and hoping to show my younger horse. I have experience exercise riding, training and breaking horses.
