I have house/barn sat several times, and used to care for some horses on a regular basis. i just spent over a month is Switzerland feeding and mucking after seven spanish mustangs. Currently i am riding a rescued appendix horse who is still green. I have done some roping but not enough to be much help, but i am interested in learning more about working cows. I have a few references available upon request.
Current occupation i do a lot of yard work, and everything from cutting beams to cleaning blinds to painting. i do have past jobs with horses, as well as retail experience.
I have been riding since the age of five, with a mixture of western and english, i am proficient in both and believe in using techniques from both. i do not however believe in using restrictions on horses, or any cruel methods often associated with english, or the callouse methods often associated with western. Each horse is just a horse and what saddle you use means nothing. I can lunge and work horses, and have some experience driving. I love learning, and am always open to new methods and experiences!
Mucking/feeding/groom/general riding. I will do anything that needs to be done.
I can do jumping, dressage, working cows, trails, etc. Im at an intermediate riding level, and am comfortable around green horses.
I haven't been in many competitions, mostly because they are expensive, but would be interested in competing more.
