I have been riding all different kinds of horses my whole life and am very adaptable in the ring. Growing up in a barn, I always wanted to learn and know endless information on lameness, gastro issues, shoeing, saddle fitting, feeding, maintenance, and genuine equine care.
Duties of Current Occupation
Currently I train individuals on their fitness. Most of my experience has been in the barn & in restaurants. I was a working student and taught for a boarding & show barn on the east coast, and have also worked at HITS Saugerties as well.
Equine Work Experience
I started riding when I was 6 years old. I have shown in the eq, hunters, and jumpers. The majority of my showing has been in the jumpers, taking young horses from the 2'3-3ft level and preparing them for sale. I was lucky to have grown up in a barn that was half hunter/jumper half dressage, and rode a few times a week for Sandy Osborn who was taught by Holland's Roel Thenuessin. I have also broken a few horses, and trained multiple horses on how to jump for the first time.
I specialize working with young horses, as well as jumpers. My whole riding career has been spent riding the tough horses or the ones in the lesson programs who have been misbehaving. I have extensive knowledge on lameness, health care, and overall care for show horses.
Type of Ride Work
Jumpers, Hunters, Equitation, with an extremely solid foundation in dressage.
