I have been riding and competing for over 20 years with top notch trainers and Grand Prix coaches and riders. I recieved my first horse (as promised by my mom if i stuck with riding) at 14 years old and competed him throughout California under the supervision of elite Three Day Eventing trainer Yves Sauvinguan. I then sold him and bought my current horse, Shorty, a now 15 year old Holsteiner gelding bred by Wendy Webster, who Ive had for 11 years, and we've competed under the guidance of GP riders such as Mattias Ekeroth and Laura O'Connor.
I've started and restarted OTTB's, young, rank, green, fresh, nervous horses. I'd say a lot of my talent lays within teaching, especially the young and or timid riders.
I have been a groom and done yard work for most of my life, always finding a way to spend more time at the barn than anywhere else.
Originally I was intorducded to riding at the European Pony School in Santa Rosa, Calif. where we learned fundamentals and basics. We did a System much like pony club and I graduated at just 11 years into their more advanced “Horse School” program, where I leased my first horse and fell in love with Dressage.
After competing in 3Day and Dressage for 10+ years, I made the difficult switch to the A circuit H/J. I showed through a 1.20 while teaching my GP coach’s kid riders.
