I am really just looking for a job at a barn doing anything. I'd love to help ride/school/exercise horses but i am also open to helping out in any other way/shape or form at the stable.
I spent some of my summers as a counselor at the day camp at LAEC, and I really enjoy passing on my knowledge to others. I am also great with kids. Now that I am in my second year and I have gotten used to the work load, I would like to start working. Being that I missed riding i thought it would be a perfect fit.
Duties of Current Occupation
I am a full time student but i have arranged my schedule in a way where i can work.
Equine Work Experience
I rode competitively all through middle school and high school. I decided to take a break for college. I started in the hunters and then when I moved into the jumpers i went to Europe to get my first jumper horse. I had a lot of success with her. She was definitely a difficult horse but she taught me a lot and I feel as if I can ride almost anything now. I rode with Dick Carvin and Susie Schroer at Meadow Grove Farms for a while before deciding to take a break and I believe my knowledge and experience grew immensely there. They taught me so much and I am very confident about my riding because of my work with them.
Type of Ride Work
Showed the A circuit (HITS Thermal, Del Mar, Show Park, The Oaks, Flintridge etc) up to 1.20m in competition.
