My main duties are taking care of the responsibilities in the riding school office. This includes answering phone and emails, booking lessons, filing, and keeping records of lessons and payments received. I also teach lessons and exercise horses.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding in the hunter/jumper and equitation disciplines for more than 10 years. I have experience working with horse trainers, which included starting horses over jumps and bringing horses who hadn’t been ridden in years back into work. I competed when I was younger in local hunter-jumper shows, and have worked at competition stables preparing horses for shows. My experience also includes the ground work involved with horses; cleaning stalls, managing turn out schedules, feeding, grooming, lunging, and cleaning and caring for tack. I genuinely enjoy working with and around horses, which motivates me to perform to the best of my abilities. I work extremely well under pressure and in fast-paced environments, and can keep calm and focused in stressful situations. I have always had an affinity for horses and find the equestrian industry exciting and fulfilling.
