Along with my basic horse experience, I have a degree in English (creative writing emphasis) and Illustration (Illustration emphasis). I can work well with Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I also have leadership experience that helps me become a cooperative team member and helps me work well with people who are not in my normal social circle. I am a diligent, hard-working, problem solving person who will not hesitate to learn new things or take criticism.

Duties of Current Occupation
Currently, I am a student tech assistant at my college John Brown University. I provide customer service, train editors, keep the editing station organized, and remain on-call for my co-workers.
Equine Work Experience
I did equestrian jumping for six years, once a week, under Pegi Logen: an instructor who has competed in many equestrain fields and trains competiters. I was taught basic riding under Logen, equestrian jumping, basic stable work (mucking, watering, etc.), basic horse preparation (tacking, blanketing, grooming, etc.), and also learned how to lunge.
Although I never competed, I participated in equestrian jumping for about 6 years. I only rode once a week, but would volunteer after lessons at my instructor's stable.
I am very calm and aware around horses. I have volunteered at two stables and assisted a friend in feeding and grooming at a stable she boards at.
Type of Ride Work
Along with my jumping and some western riding experience, I was trained to ride balanced seat on a standard English saddle. I can confidently walk, trot, canter, and transition between the three in an open arena, in a circle, or during a change of direction. And, as formally stated, I participated in jumping for about 6 years. I have also assisted in trail rides by bringing up the rear to assure everyone was safe and that the children closest to me were handling their horses well.
