Building and maintaining client list. Instructing students on basic care and horsemanship skills on the ground,equitation, low level jumping and low levels of dressage. Schooling lesson horses. Re-training OTTBs. Hiring and overseeing barn help.
Starting three to five year old unhandled Crabbet Arabians(from teaching them how to halter to being futurity prospects in Sport Horse In-Hand and Sport Horse Under Saddle) and Quarter Horses(for western disciplines).
Handling studs. Handling foals. Building and executing training plans. Preparing horses for sale. Body clipping, mane pulling/trimmin.g Stall cleaning and all barn duties All aspects of health including first aid, health emergencies, wrapping, medication preparation and administration(including vaccinations and worming. ) Building and maintaining individual equine diets. Administrative duties(including maintaining current vaccination schedule, farrier schedule and completing shipping and sales paperwork.) Hauling to local and national shows. Show groom duties at a local and national level in both English and Western disciplines(stall cleaning, lunging scheduling, braiding, scheduling, etc.).
