Equine Work Experience

Hotwalker, Sept 2021 - Present Cool out young racehorses (typically ages 2-4) after galloping in the mornings. Hold horses for bathing, vet-work.

Stud Groom, June 2023 - Aug 2023 Handle basic care of mares, foals and yearlings in a small team. Hold all horses for vet, farrier and other specialists. Transport and handle mares at the covering shed before and after breeding. Lead tours of the stallion complex for tourist groups, requires complex understanding of thoroughbred racing.

Broodmare Division Farm Hand, Oct 2021 - May 2022 Tend to basic needs of mares, foals and yearlings in a small team. Assisted the veterinarian with the examination and treatment of all horses.

Farm Hand at Hunter-Jumper Boarding Facility, Aug 2020 - Mar 2021 Independently cleaned stalls and provided hay/water/feed for 16 horses. Operated a small tractor for chores around the farm. Attended to the needs and concerns of horse owners.
