Equine Work Experience
Have ridden lesson horses for ten years in a variety of disciplines. Primarily jumpers/hunter jumper with a preference for jumpers but have also done western pleasure, reining, barrels, even vaulting once. Have worked as a farm hand on several farms, some as large as 50 horses. Mucking out, feeding, watering, turning out, grooming, tacking, exercising horses, etc. Experience working in group settings.
Type of Ride Work
Have been riding lesson horses for my entire equine career of ten years, ranging from 12.2 hand ponies to 17+ hand OTTBs, have not owned a horse due to personal situational limitations. Have ridden horses of all breeds, speeds, and temperaments with a preference for forward moving horses. Was jumping consistently at the 2'6 level, highest jump being 3'6. Experience riding a few green horses in flatwork and low jumping.
Competition Details
Participated in hunter jumper IEA during high school, on the flat walk/trot/canter. Earlier in my riding career I participated in schooling shows coursing crossrails. However, due to personal situational limitations, I have been unable to compete otherwise but have a strong desire to compete again.
