I completed 3 medical equine courses in college to be a vet tech. I also took small courses in high school to help volunteer with disabled riders as well.
I don’t have a current occupation I went to school to be a vet tech though and learned it’s not the hands experience I wanted. Riding is a huge passion of mine and would love to find work in it.
I’ve been riding since I was a kid, I also barrel race as well as dabbling in roping. Growing up I was a jumper. i grew up with a lot of barn work as well as worked in the field for awhile. I worked at a barn as a boarding manager for 6 years but started out as a stall cleaner and moved up. I purchased a 9 year old rescue 2 years ago training it from the ground up as a new barrel prospect.
I’ve been barrel racing the last 8 years as well as dabbling into roping. I worked at a barn as the boarding manager for 6 years. Ins and outs of barn work are quick to me.
I have worked with an assortment of horses from problem to green to young. I have experiences in both western and English with jumping and other rodeo events, as well as ground work and basics. I bought a 9 year 2 years ago to train up as a barrel prospect but I’ve never started a horse beyond that. I grew up with my family starting horses but didn’t get into it myself till about 2 years ago. In high school I had a Haflinger that I would drive around with a cart.
I’ve competed in small shows for jumping in Wisconsin growing up. Over the last 8 years I’ve been barrel racing in Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Georgia and Tennessee.
