Pine Ridge Dude Ranch, located in Ulster County NY, is a 150-acre resort dude ranch offering an authentic western riding experience for our guests. We are looking for an Assistant Barn Manager with a passion and extensive knowledge of horses in a western trail riding environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter that is capable of being a leader in the organization.
Currently working toward my CHA Certification in Standard Instruction.
Duties include: equine management and care, chores, mucking stalls, grooming, English/Western instruction for both private and group lessons, learning barn management, volunteer management, equine first aid inventory, and guest services.
I grew up around horses and took english riding lessons from age 5-15. I volunteered at a camp in their horsemanship program for 8 summers and worked as the assistant barn manager/instructor for 2. I have had my own horse for 13 years and put a lot of his training on him myself. Currently, I am a horse intern at CRISTA Camps.
English- some jumping and dressage working towards higher skill level Western- not a lot of professional training, but working toward higher skill level
