Duties of Current Occupation

Administering medications and treatments, monitoring anesthesia, IV catheter placement, drug calculations, client education, updating and maintaining medical records, wound care, general nursing, and so much more.

Equine Work Experience

I managed the equine department of a working beef ranch where we used horses to work and doctor cattle. I have also assisted professional trainers and lesson instructors in their programs, and I have done my own personal training work (from groundwork to finishing) and given riding lessons to students of various skill levels.

My general specialty is barn management, including facility maintenance and upkeep, and staff oversight. I’m comfortable with power tools, general mechanical maintenance, and hauling loaded trailers. I also have an extensive background in veterinary medicine and some limited farrier work.

Type of Ride Work

I have started colts, ridden green and problem horses, doctored cattle on horseback, done extensive groundwork, and I run my own performance horses on the rodeo circuit. I do have some limited showing experience in other disciplines.

Competition Details

I’m a WPRA and APRA cardholder.
