Duties of Current Occupation
I have 20+ years of equestrian experience. I began riding when I was 6, and showed through the time until I left for college. My mother and I shared our Quarter Horse, Skid, for 22 years, until he passed away from age-related complications in 2018.
Equine Work Experience
I began riding when I was 6, and actively showed until I was 18/19. My best results were at a State level, winning Reserve Champion Showman and 4th place Hunt Seat Equitation in Washington State. My first job was as a stable girl when I was 11, cleanings stalls, turn in/out, exercising and grooming.
Specialities
I have led Showmanship and Horse Judging workshops at the request of trainers I met when I was active at horse shows.
Type of Ride Work
I have a good quarter-century's experience riding flatwork (hunt seat and western), and one year experience of jumping.
Competition Details
I have a decade's experience of competing. I served as my own competition groom, winning multiple championships in Showmanship (focusing on presentation of a horse).
