• Shooting radiograph images and scintigraphy • Running bloodwork • Performing treatments including those needing IV and IM injections • Urgent care hours as well as being on call. • Assisting in surgery • Working with a wide range of equine including donkeys, zebras and horses. • Assisted with injections on an elephant at a local zoo. • Familiar with basic medical terminology • Performing bandage wrapping, refluxing, medicating and hooking up fluids. • Responsible for managing confidential medical records and setting up appointments • Preparing health certificates for flying domestic and international • Working with Cornerstone database and Pet Desk • Answering phone calls • Working with a range of customers through skilled conflict management • Coordinating with insurance companies • Filling medications • Providing support to the practice’s nine veterinarians, and overall care for a large veterinarian practice.
