Qualifications

I’ve taken a couple classes on basic equine treatment as well as what to do in case of emergencies. I have done first aid classes and have a good understanding of both human anatomy and horse anatomy. I have no problem assisting in veterinary care such as holding a horse still while they’re being treated, giving shots, doing wraps, etc..

Duties of Current Occupation

Advanced experience when it comes to equines, as I have been riding for roughly 11 years with a two year gap. I am a hunter of five years as well as someone who spent a lot of their free time working liberty and building trust with the horses.

Equine Work Experience

I worked at a stable (Cadence Stables) for about a year where I mucked about twenty stalls a day, rode often, plaited for shows, washed, clipped, groomed, gave lessons, did feeding, turn outs, and lunged.

Specialities

Mucking stalls, working horses, grooming, clipping, braiding, teaching lessons, working with beginners and younger children, riding, feeding, turn outs/turn ins, and basic barn work.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden a wide variety of horses, some had seriously bucking issues, some were aggressive, some were green, and got the most part I’ve dealt with younger horses who are quite springy. I have yet to start up a horse, but I would absolutely love to learn when given the opportunity. I usually work flatwork, jumping, hunter, hacking, evening, cross country, and endurance.

Competition Details

I’ve been a competition groom for several different horses, as well as competed in hunter jumping for five years. Most of that time was spent jumping around 3’9 as well as exercising and doing basic training with local horses.
