I graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences and minor in Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship. The emphasis in my degree was Equine Sciences, so I took classes relating to equine management, exercise physiology, and nutrition.

I have had volunteer roles at Hoofbeats Therapeutic Riding Center and the Virginia Tech Equine Volunteer Program. I have also had internship and barn staff/management positions through Virginia Tech and other farms in Southwest Virginia area.

I have been riding horses for 13 years and worked in several barn management, groom, and lesson coaching positions. I grew up riding hunter/jumpers, and I have experience in western horsemanship as well through the Virginia Tech Equestrian Team. In addition to managing stables and teaching lessons, I have also volunteered working with a therapeutic riding facility helping the riders in events, lessons, and shows.

Experience in stable management, teaching beginner to intermediate hunter lessons as well as beginner western lessons, and both English and Western riding.
