I enjoy flat work, ponies (I’m small enough to ride a medium pony), jumping (getting back into jumping), and challenges. I don’t really ride baby horses who are just starting out but I’m willing to challenge myself if I have to for it. Getting a flight is hard to come and fly out.

Duties of Current Occupation

Currently an owner and breeder of 16 alpacas and working in DC as a laboratory technician at Friendship Hospital for animals

Equine Work Experience

Horse enthusiast since I was a little girl who would stay up all night studying different breeds and colors of horses as well as drawing. I have been riding since around 2000 and leased an Arabian gelding, Flare from 2005 until his passing around 2010, but before and after, and even during I have ridden horses of all shapes and sizes, as well as grooming, saddling, bridling, and regular grooming.

Specialities

Farm experience since 2000 with horses. Switched to alpacas in around 2007 (but continued with horses). Routine animal care, herd health, vaccines, weighing, as well as showing.

Type of Ride Work

Regular riding, minor jumping experience as well as a horse that did very occasional dressage. Trail riding is my favorite.

Competition Details

I have taken my alpacas to various shows and competitions resulting in blue ribbons.
