I am a senior at Roanoke College, and I will be graduating in early May with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting.

I have worked on a horse farm for 7 years, 4 of which I was the manager. Daily activities included turning out/bringing in horses, mucking stalls, cleaning and filling water buckets and troughs, performing any daily veterinary care, schooling lesson horses, and teaching riding lessons.

I am very quick at mucking stalls, and I am always thorough and like to keep a tidy workplace. I am used to following a list of things to be done, but if I see something else that needs to be done, I will do it. Farm work can't always be listed out, and you have to take initiative and be proactive about getting things done.

I have been riding for 17 years. I have a strong Hunter/Jumper background, but also have experience with basic Western riding. I have also worked with green horses on many occasions, mostly young thoroughbreds who had just completed their racing career. In addition to working with green horses, I started and trained a young pony who was later placed into a lesson program.
