I was the captain of the Hollins Riding Club during my undergrad career and interned with the Virginia Horse Center my sophomore year.

Duties of Current Occupation

Currently I am the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Roanoke College Riding Team in Roanoke, VA. I secure donations and sponsorships for the team and do outreach for their horseshows.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding and working in barns since I was eight years old. I have learned general veterinary information (such as signs of colic), general farrier knowledge (soft hooves, thrush etc.). I have worked in hunter/jumper show barns, dressage barns, summer camps, and horse rescues.

Specialities

I have worked with many different types of horses and have experience working at a horse rescue as well.

Type of Ride Work

I mainly ride hunter/jumper but have trained in western and dressage as well.

Competition Details

I have both competed and worked as a groom at multiple 'A' rated shows. I groomed for my barn at HITS Saugerties and The Vermont Summer Festival along with showing simultaneously.
